Mohammed Shami is recovering from an injury but issues are still popping up off the field. His estranged wife Hasin Jahan and daughter Arshi Jahan are in legal trouble due to a land dispute in Suri, West Bengal.
According to the Free Press Journal, they are charged with attempted murder, criminal conspiracy and assault. A video of the incident is going viral.
The problem started when Dalia Khatun, a neighbour of Hasin, claimed that Hasin and Arshi attacked her over a piece of land. Hasin was supposed to be managing the construction on the land which is registered under Arshi’s name. Dalia opposed this and it led to a heated argument which turned physical.
The video shows Hasin in a black t-shirt and jeans arguing with Dalia who is wearing a maxi dress. People are seen pushing bricks and shouting. Dalia claims that Hasin and her daughter physically assaulted her.
West Bengal police have confirmed that a case has been filed against Hasin and Arshi under various sections of IPC including attempted murder and criminal conspiracy. No arrests have been made yet but the matter is under investigation.
The police said the land is disputed and Hasin has not provided clear ownership proof. If the charges are true then it will be legally tough for both Hasin and Arshi.
If Hasin Jahan is found guilty then she will face serious consequences. The incident along with the video and the land dispute can lead to a court battle. And she is still in a legal fight with Shami.

This is another development in the Shami-Hasin case. Earlier this month the Calcutta High Court asked Mohammed Shami to pay Rs.4 lakh as temporary maintenance. Rs.1.5 lakh for Hasin and Rs.2.5 lakh for their daughter.
The court said the earlier amount of Rs.50,000 for Hasin and Rs.80,000 for the child was not enough considering their living standards when they were with Shami and the cricketer’s current income. So Shami is not only recovering from his injury but also has to manage increasing maintenance payments.
