Rajasthan Royals have found a replacement for Sandeep Sharma, who’s out of IPL 2025 due to an injury. They’ve brought in Nandre Burger to take his place. Sandeep had hurt his finger and couldn’t continue in the tournament.
Before his injury, he played ten matches for the Royals and took just nine wickets, averaging 40.11, which wasn’t great. With Sandeep struggling, the team relied more on Jofra Archer and Wanindu Hasaranga for wickets.
Nandre Burger is a left-arm pacer from South Africa known for his speed. He was part of the Royals before but went unsold in last year’s auction.
Last season, he played six games for RR and took seven wickets with a solid strike rate of 14.57 and an economy of 8.53. So far in his T20 career, he has played 69 matches and has picked up 77 wickets at an average of 23.44 and a strike rate of 18.1. Burger has joined the Royals for a hefty 3.5 crores.
