The PCB has announced its Women’s Central Contracts for the 2025-26 season.
Sadia Iqbal, the top-ranked T20I bowler in the world according to the ICC, has been given a Category ‘A’ contract.
To help young cricketers grow, the PCB is introducing a new ‘E’ category called Emerging. Eyman Fatima who hasn’t played internationally yet and Shawaal Zulfiqar who has played 3 ODIs and 7 T20Is are the first ones in this category. Both will be traveling to Ireland with the Pakistan women’s team for 3 T20Is in Dublin from August 6 to 10. Both have also played in the first ICC Women’s U19 World Cup in South Africa in January 2023.
In total 20 players have been given contracts in 5 categories with 10 players in Category D.
These contracts will run from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 and there is a 50% increase in player payments across all categories. The women’s selection committee and head coach Muhammad Wasim worked together to finalize the contracts.
The Pakistan women’s team has two big ICC events coming up next year: the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in September-October 2025 and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in June 2026. They will also play bilateral series at home and away.
Aliya Riaz (Category B), Natalia Parvaiz, Sidra Nawaz, Waheeda Akhtar (all Category D), Eyman Fatima and Shawaal Zulfiqar (both Category E) are the new additions to the list of 20 contracted players.

Besides Sadia Iqbal, Diana Baig who moved from Category C to B and Rameen Shamim who went from Category D to C have also been promoted.

With big competitions ahead, the PCB is investing in women’s cricket and providing structural support. Pakistan is serious about competing and improving at the highest level of international cricket. This should boost the team morale and prepare them for the ICC events to come, the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
