The IPL 2025-throwing captain, Rajat Patidar-was expected to miss out on at least two games before the league was suspended. But with that one week of suspension, he has the opportunity to get fit now, and there is a big chance of him not missing out on any games, per ESPNCricinfo.
Patidar is still under recuperation from a finger injury picked up in action from the game against CSK at Chinnaswamy, on the 3rd of May. In the meantime, Jitesh Sharma was ready to step up and lead the RCB team against LSG.
The report states that Patidar was rendered to avoid training for 10 days before his next assessment date. So if the tournament resumes on May 16, as being talked about, he may very well be ready to face LSG in the upcoming match. Thus, there is a chance of him being rested anyway, considering that the team might want to play cautious regarding the playoffs and the upcoming India A tour of England.

RCB has done decently well this season, compiling 16 points from 11 matches, and looks certain to make it to the playoffs. If matches take place in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai, it would be like playing at home for RCB.
On the other hand, there is still doubt whether their overseas players will be free when the league resumes next week. It is being reported that Josh Hazlewood will not probably make it back from Australia, which of course, makes it tougher for the team since he is their leading wicket-taker with 18 dismissals.
