RCB captain Rajat Patidar and Krunal Pandya were seen dancing dhol style on Wednesday during the celebration of their biggest win in Ahmedabad at their hotel. Pandya was the first to do some Garba while Kohli and Mo Bobat, holding the shiny trophy, just strolled in. Patidar, usually quite jaded, let himself go and danced with his close friend Jitesh Sharma. The veteran Dinesh Karthik, now a batting coach after leaving active playing, also couldn’t restrain himself from breaking into a jig. Suyash Sharma, Swastik Chikara, and Yash Dayal were seen grooving too, while Phil Salt and Tim David clicked pictures to capture some fond memories.
With the team bus reaching the hotel, the fans took to the streets, hoisting it in cheers for their guys in red and blue. RCB, led by ace batter Virat Kohli, washed away an 18-year trail of grief on this unforgettable Tuesday night when they defeated the Punjab Kings by 6 runs to claim their very first IPL title in Ahmedabad after a long wait. The final was gripping as RCB secured a formidable victory over Punjab to lay to rest some tough memories from the past.

Though the crowd held out for RCB during the team innings which were wavering, they managed to post 190/9, with Kohli getting a hard-fought 43 from 35 balls. At that stage, it didn’t look like a winning total, but the bowlers put the scoreboard under pressure. With 29 runs to go in the final over, the game ended on Josh Hazlewood‘s two successive dot balls. Shashank Singh tried to keep the game alive with a solid 61 not out but it couldn’t help Punjab to get over the line as they finished for 184/7. For RCB it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandya who picked up 2 wickets each at crucial interval to give RCB and it’s fans the much awaited trophy.
