Purani Dilli 6, who made it to the semi-finals of the 2024 Delhi Premier League (DPL), has confirmed that Rishabh Pant, their star wicketkeeper-batter, will be with the team next season. He will be a key player.
Pant is excited to stay and said, The DPL is a great platform for young players to showcase their talent. Rohan Jaitley and DDCA deserve credit for running this league so well. DPL has given chances to many players from all over the country to grow, like Digvesh Rathi and Priyansh Arya.
Pant added, “Purani Dilli 6 feels like home. Delhi fans bring a lot of energy and we are very keen to win. After a good season last year, we are even more determined to win and we think we will be even better this year.
Akash Nangia, owner of Purani Dilli 6 said about Pant: “Rishabh Pant is a top level cricketer and the heart of Purani Dilli 6. His leadership, experience and talent gives us an edge. We are building a strong team around him and we think we can win it all this year.
DDCA has announced that two new men’s teams will join the DPL. Outer Delhi and New Delhi teams will start playing from 2025 season, taking the league to 8 teams from 6.

Player auctions for next season will be held in Delhi on July 6 (Men) and July 7 (Women) as DPL continues to support cricket for all.
Second season of DPL will again be at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Game dates and full schedule will be shared after player auctions are done.
