After their ouster, moments of the team at the airport went viral, especially the one between Rohit and Arjun: A shaky start to the season, Rohit bounced back with a brilliant unbeaten 76 against Chennai Super Kings and then fifty against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the very next. He was the Player of the Match after his scintillating 81 off 50 balls in the Eliminator against the Gujarat Titans.

In the third over, he couldn’t take advantage of an opportunity as he scored just four runs. But Mumbai kept flying high at 10 an over. Tilak Varma smashed a six on his second ball, and Jonny Bairstow helped keep up the pace as the second-wicket partnership added 51 in just about six overs to revive the team.
