Two former Indian cricketers, Saurabh Tiwary and Shahbaz Nadeem, have just been declared winners of important positions in the Jharkhand State Cricket Association. Tiwary will be the secretary, while Nadeem has been appointed joint secretary. Both of them represented Team India until 2024 on the international stage.
Once 35, Tiwary had a full journey with the Indian team, having made his ODI debut against Australia in Visakhapatnam in 2010. His international career included three ODIs. Combination, Nadeem won two Test caps for India from 2019, commencing his career versus South Africa.
Under the election for the new committee, Tiwary won against SB Singh by a comfortable margin of 438 votes to 194. Nadeem’s win for the joint secretary position was just as convincing, with a scoreline of 409 to 199 against Raj Kumar Sharma.
