Virat Kohli, who recently quit Test cricket along with Rohit Sharma, is currently in London with his family. Even during his break, Kohli found some time to catch up with his teammates. According to RevSportz, he had a few of his teammates over at his place for a casual get-together.
Shubman Gill, the new Test captain, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and fast bowler Mohammed Siraj were the ones who made it to the party. It was just a chill evening where they could relax and spend time with Kohli.
Meanwhile, the Indian team has moved from London to Leeds where they will play the first Test against England at Headingley from June 20. This series is big for Indian cricket. With Kohli and Sharma retiring from Tests and Ravichandran Ashwin taking a break from international cricket, the spotlight is now on 25-year-old Shubman Gill to lead a new Indian team.
Before taking the reins of the Test team, Gill had a brief but impressive stint as captain of the T20 team, he led them in a series against Zimbabwe in 2024 where India won 4 out of 5 matches. He had an 80% win rate from the very beginning.
