Fleming addressed the media, acknowledging how tough it can be to stay motivated when things aren’t going well. He recalled how in 2022, they finished 9th but managed to bounce back the very next year to lift the trophy in 2023.

He pointed out that while they’re clear on their current struggles, they’re not giving up hope just yet. They want to explore all avenues to find new players for next season and see if different combinations can work for them moving forward.
As Fleming put it, “We know where we stand, but we’re willing to look for every possible avenue as we think about next year. If we find ourselves out of contention for the playoffs, we’ll still make the most of what we’ve got.”
On top of that, Fleming brought up a big concern: the team’s batting performance. They’ve struggled to show aggression at the beginning of their innings, and it took a 17-year-old player, Ayush Mhatre, to finally hit their first boundary in a recent match against the Mumbai Indians. Fleming seems to think that the team’s issues stem more from a lack of confidence rather than a lack of talent. We’re not looking to play a safe style of cricket. What we’re really missing is a bit of confidence, and we’ve been changing the players for various reasons, he explained.
