Taskin Ahmed, the Bangladeshi fast bowler, is in trouble. Police have filed a General Diary (GD) against him for allegedly assaulting a man in Dhaka.
According to Protomalo, the complaint says Taskin, 30, met his friend Sifatur Rahman Sourav and assaulted him in Mirpur Model area on July 26.
Police is investigating. Reporters in Bangladesh tried to contact Taskin but his phone is off.
BCB has responded to the situation. They are investigating themselves. BCB Director Iftekhar Rahman Mithu said if Taskin is found guilty it will be very sad.
Mithu told Cricfrenzy, I saw the news this morning. Our officials are also aware. We are already investigating. If this is true it’s very unfortunate. Star players shouldn’t be involved in this kind of thing. I’ll comment further after I know all the details.
Jago News, another news source, reports that a BCB director spoke with Taskin who said he is innocent and being framed.

Jago News quoted Mithu as saying, I wasn’t directly involved. There was a fight between my friends. One side asked me to call the police so I called them. Because of that the other side got angry and filed a GD against me. But I wasn’t involved in the actual fight.
The incident happened two days after Taskin played for Bangladesh against Pakistan in the 3rd T20I in Mirpur where he took 3 wickets.
