Yadav told ANI, “I have a lot of faith in Lord Shiva. Nag Panchami is a good day and getting blessings on this day is special. One can only visit if called upon.”
Yadav started his India career in 2010 and has played all formats. In 141 international games, he has 288 wickets, averaging 31.62, with best figures of 6/88. He has three five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket haul. He has 170 wickets in 57 Tests, averaging 30.95, and was key for India at home for over 12 years. Many people came to the temple early to see the Bhasma Aarti, a key spiritual ritual for Lord Shiva. The temple had Vedic chants, conch sounds, bells and hymns.

People waited to pray and get blessings from Lord Shiva at the Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India.
It is said that worshipping Lord Shiva during Shravan gives peace and relief. The month is spiritual, with fasting, Shiva mantras, bhajans and Rudrabhishek, where the Shiva Lingam is bathed with milk, curd, honey and water.
Every Shravan Monday is for Lord Shiva and Tuesdays are for Goddess Parvati. Many fast all month, eating only fruits, milk and fasting foods.
