Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has named Indian batting star Virat Kohli as the most prominent individual in his cellphone contacts.
In an ever-expanding social media video, several Australian men and women’s cricketers revealed who was their most famous contact number.
“Hard to go past Virat Kohli. Virat is pretty famous. I don’t think anyone’s got more Instagram followers in sport (than him),” Maxwell said in a video shared by ABC Sport
Thank goodness Steve Smith and Sophie Molineux raised the bar! 😅

While Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh couldn’t go past their captain Pat Cummins.
Australia’s women cricketers Alyssa Healy and Alana King voted for their teammate Ellyse Perry.
Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey suggested David Warner and Ricky Ponting. Whereas most Australian legends were hesitant to leave the confines of cricket, former captain Steve Smith took a different route.
The veteran batter chose internationally renowned Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman.
Following in Smith’s footsteps, Aussie pace bowler Sophie Molineux chose actress Asher Keddie. Keddie is globally known as the face for Offspring, Five Mile Creek and The Lost Flowers.
Maxwell isn’t the only cricketer who had to say Virat Kohli is the most famous contact on their phone.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) put together a video last year where KL Rahul faced his fellow teammate’s question about who was the most famous person he had in his contacts.
As per reports, Kohli was supposed to return to white-ball cricket when India were scheduled to play the first ODI against England on February 6 in Nagpur. The 36-year-old batter was believed to have hurt his knee on the eve of the series opener, leading to Shreyas Iyer’s inclusion.
With this win, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Harshit Rana became the latest Indian cricketers to debut in ODIs. India would win the match by four wickets, leading the series 1-0 in the three-match game.
Without batting an eye, the Karnataka-born batsman replied, “Virat Kohli.”
