The IPL 2025 final is to be hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) taking on Punjab Kings. Going into the final, these two teams have already battled thrice this season, with the former holding a 2-1 edge. Having already bested Punjab in Qualifier 1, RCB will carry a lot of confidence into the final. However, Punjab will also be high after the victory against Mumbai Indians, so RCB shouldn’t take them lightly.
Some rain is likely, and that could cause havoc in this final. In Qualifier 2, we saw how rain intervened and delayed the game. The final is happening at the same venue, with rain again being forewarned. Should the match be washed out, then there remains a reserve day of June 4.

But what if the rain does come on the reserve day too?
If it does, the team finishing higher in the points table will be declared as the winner. Punjab topped the table, with RCB coming in second. Hence, both teams will be declared champions, even though in the league stage both the teams had 19 points; Punjab had a better Net Run Rate.
