The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy is reaching the climax. England is 2-1 up and India needs to win to tie the series and prove all the predictions wrong.
The fifth and final Test starts on Thursday. One big question for India is whether to stick to their original plan of using Jasprit Bumrah for just three Tests. He has already bowled his quota for the tour and the team might want to include him for one more game since they have to win this one.
Bumrah is 31 and played all five Tests in Australia and then had a back injury that kept him out for about two months. He even missed the ICC Champions Trophy.
Should India risk him in another game?
Former Indian cricketer WV Raman says the team should be cautious. Only Bumrah knows how much his body can take.
People need to realize that when a fast bowler comes back after a break, especially after an injury, it takes time for them to know their limits, Raman told Hindustan Times. Over four to six weeks, they are still figuring it out. It will take time for Bumrah to understand how much he can do.
So, it depends on what his body can handle. We don’t want him to get hurt again for too long because he tends to push himself too hard, he added.

Raman felt for Anshul Kamboj, the fast bowler who had figures of 1/89 in his Test debut in Manchester. Raman thinks the young bowler was unlucky to play on such a flat pitch where lots of runs were scored.
It’s a shame. It’s been a great wicket. India scored big in the fourth innings, showing the pitch is good for batting. Anshul Kamboj was a bit unlucky to debut on such a flat track. No cricketer should be judged on just one game, Raman said.
