The world of Pakistan cricket has hit a new low with the team under the leadership of Salman Ali Agha going down in a final and, most notably, the Men in Green losing three times in a fortnight against India. The PCB has taken first damage-containment steps in minimizing the damage to its reputation post the humiliating defeat: Reportedly, NOCs have been put on hold for overseas leagues.
According to Current Pakistan news, PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed sent out a notification stating the suspension of granting NOCs to players willing to take part in overseas leagues.
A set of these decisions would sting many, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, and Shadab Khan, who had been lined up to feature in the upcoming edition of the BBL.

No other decision will have an impact than actually on Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, for being much older players, they had been kept out of Pakistan plans in T20I cricket, and also participation in overseas leagues was one of those opportunities where they may regain the trust of the PCB and get back into the shortest format of the game.
To explain further, in the forthcoming BBL season, Babar Azam was supposed to make his debut in Australia’s top league and had signed an exclusive contract with the Sydney Sixers.
Because Babar was picked by the Sixers in the Platinum category, the Pakistan superstar would be a paid up to $420,000 AUD – almost INR 2.35 crore. This means that if he doesn’t report for BBL duties, a loss of around 2.35 crore will greet him.
Apart from that, BBL may also take some punitive action as the rest of the policy by the Sixers was centred on Babar Azam.
