Exciting coaches and mentors have been lined up by the Mumbai Cricket Association for the upcoming T20 Mumbai League 2025, and this assures that it will not disappoint a cricket fan after a six-year break. T20 is back and ready to set the cricketing city on fire. This happens to be held between May 26 to June 8 at the hallowed Wankhede Stadium, featuring eight teams battling it out for glory.
In a fantastic move, former cricketers Abhishek Nayar and Paras Mhambrey will be stepping in as mentors for the Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals and ARCS Andheri, respectively. With loads of experience under their belts, they’re sure to help guide and inspire the younger players throughout the season, sharing the wisdom they’ve gained from their time on the field.
A solid group of seasoned coaches is also lined up for this year. We’ll see names like Omkar Salvi heading the SoBo Mumbai Falcons, Rajesh Pawar taking the reins at ARCS Andheri, Atul Ranade coaching Triumph Knights Mumbai North East, Amit Dani guiding the Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals, Prashant Shetty managing the Eagle Thane Strikers, Pravin Tambe leading the North Mumbai Panthers, and Vinod Raghvan in charge of Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs. The head coach for Namo Bandra Blasters will be revealed later on.
It’s a matter of great pride today, according to MCA President Ajinkya Naik, that serious focus is being put on enhancing the local coaches, support staff, and even the self-realization chances they may have out of Mumbai cricket and Indian cricket in general. We want to build a solid base in cricket and create pathways to success further in the future by supporting homegrown talents.
India captain Rohit Sharma has been roped in as the official face for Season 3 in what would be a major highlight for the league, adding to the already so much color and glory to the tournament.
Over the years, the T20 Mumbai League has acted as a launching pad for many budding cricketers. Shivam Dube, Tushar Deshpande, and Shams Mulani have benefited from the screens and are now on their way to great things in their careers.
This year, however, has seen a terrific response from players with more than 2,800 registrations registering them ready to spot and nurture the next cricket stars of India in their Season 3. It’s surely going to be an exciting season ahead for the league as well as for the cricketers involved!
