In Australia, Stuart Broad made a total of 47 wickets from 27 innings as a new ball bowler, with an average of 34.14 and a strike rate of 69.6. He concluded his career fives with two five-wicket hauls in Australia, one of which was a 6/81 in Brisbane 2013.
1. James Anderson: 68 wickets
The leading wicket-taker of all time in England’s history has once again been extremely successful with 68 wickets against the arch-rivals overseas.
He played his first match in the 2006/07 tour, where Anderson demonstrated the exceptional ability to stay in cricket for long by visiting Australia four more times.
The legendary pacer took 68 wickets in 39 innings, averaging 34.01 and bowling at a strike rate of 72.7, though he managed to get only one five-wicket haul in his entire career, that too in Adelaide during the 2017/18 tour.
