Preity Zinta, director at KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited, is challenging the trial court’s order to dismiss her case against directors Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia.
She has asked the Additional Sessions Judge to stay the trial court’s order till her appeal is decided.
On May 31, a Chandigarh Civil Judge had dismissed her suit. She wanted the court to declare the April 21 company meeting illegal, as Mohit Burman with Ness Wadia’s help had conducted the meeting against the Companies Act, 2013 and the company’s own rules.
She also wanted the company, Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia to be restrained from acting on any resolutions passed in that meeting and Muneesh Khanna to be restrained from acting as a director.
In her appeal, Preity is seeking an order to restrain Muneesh Khanna from holding himself out as a director till the appeal is decided.
