Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally won the IPL title after 18 years, with a 6-run victory against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final on Tuesday. RCB is one of the most popular teams in the league, mainly because of their superstar Virat Kohli and ardent fans. They were to have an open bus parade in Bengaluru on Wednesday, but it looks like this celebration will be cancelled. The city authorities could not grant permission because of heavy traffic, a precautionary step to prevent large crowds.
The RCB players will be honored with a ceremony at their home ground, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, later today. The event is scheduled from 5 PM to 6 PM, and only those with tickets or passes will be able to attend. Fans are being encouraged to consider traveling to the stadium via Metro or other public transport systems due to limited parking space, and are advised to avoid the Central Business District from 3 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday.

A good fan turnout is expected at Chinnaswamy, where the players shall parade the trophy once more, similar to what India did after winning the T20 World Cup in 2024 at Wankhede Stadium.
The Indian captain can assume that Kohli would have been aching with the thought of the title slipping away yet again after suffering through three defeats at the finals in his 18-season IPL career. But this one was different; with all their bowlers setting up a keen, competitive winning show, the best spells came from Krunal Pandya, who picked two wickets for 17 runs in his four overs, while restricting Punjab Kings to 184/7.
