Australian top-order batter Georgia Voll takes Chamari Athapaththu’s position in the UP Warriorz squad for the rest of the Women’s Premier League because of her national duties with Sri Lanka.
“The UP Warriorz have replaced Chamari Athapaththu with Georgia Voll for the remainder of TATA Women’s Premier League 2025 as Athapaththu will resume national duties for Sri Lanka,” said WPL in a statement on Thursday.
Voll, 21, is a rising star whose international career has begun with a bang, her second one-day international resulting in a century.
She has played three T20Is along with three ODIs and one Test for Australia.
UPW find themselves fourth on the five-team ladder with four points from their five matches played to date.
UPW will next play at home against bottom-placed Gujarat Giants on March 3.
Voll will be earned 30 lakh INR by the UPW.
