The bright young batting prospect of RR, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, would like to make his presence felt at the national level after displaying a fabulous performance against the Gujarat Titans on April 28, Monday. In that match, his most amazing cricketing feat came by reaching the century in merely 35 balls, the second-fastest century in IPL. He is just 14 years old, and it has been a long journey for him as he has been smashing records from all fronts recently, bringing everybody’s attention.
But for Vaibhav, this is just the beginning. He wants nothing more than to wear the India jersey and play for the country at the international level. In an interview with IPL’s official website, he expressed his determination to keep pushing himself. The truth is, I need to work even harder now, he stated. I want to perform better and reach the level where I can play for India. I’ll keep putting in the effort until I can achieve that and give something back to my country.

After that fantastic innings against his Titans, he took some time to appreciate the sacrifices made by his parents. Vaibhav knows very well what they have compromised to pursue his dreams in cricket. He said, Whatever I am today is all thanks to my parents. My mom wakes up at 2 a.m. just so I can go to practice. She only gets about three hours of sleep each night, and then she’s busy making sure I have my meals. His father has also made huge sacrifices, even leaving his job to support Vaibhav’s cricket journey. “My dad totally committed himself to helping me chase my dreams. He believed that hard work pays off. What you see today, all the success I’m starting to achieve, it’s because of how much my parents have put into this,” Vaibhav said.
Next, Suryavanshi and the rest of the RR team are all to play against MI in the forthcoming encounter within the Wankhede stadium on 1st May. Fans are definitely excited to see what this talented young player will do next on the field!
