Lord’s is an interesting place right now in the England-India Test series. It’s 1-1 and both teams are same after first innings in this third match.
India got 387 because of KL Rahul’s century and Rishabh Pant’s 74. What’s interesting is Pant hurt his finger on the first day and wasn’t sure if he would even bat. But he batted through the pain and scored important runs.
Pant is not taking any chances with his finger and is not keeping wickets. Dhruv Jurel is keeping since Pant’s injury. The young player has been solid behind the stumps. Dinesh Karthik even made a funny comment about it during Day 4 commentary.
The former Indian wicket-keeper said Pant should give Jurel some of his match fee for filling in. It was just a joke but maybe Jurel will get something from Pant after the game. The headline could be: Rishabh Pant Should Share His Match Fees With Dhruv Jurel.
More importantly India needs Pant to bat in the second innings since Jurel can’t. The match is close and with batting getting tougher India will need some aggressive batting from Pant when they chase the runs.

Both Pant and Jurel have really batted well for the team at Lord’s and India hopes they continue to do so.
