Establishment of Bengal Pro T20 League (BPTL) has proved to be noteworthy event among Indian domestic cricket system. Started with great pomp it will provincialize T20 cricket and infuse talent within the state and at the same time give an overdose of cricket through various members to the neighbouring state of West Bengal.
The vision behind the formation of Bengal Pro T20 League was intended for the local players to perform in the big tournaments alike to other regional T20 leagues in India. The goal of developing the talent like Marrlom Mukherjee, Laxmi Ratan Shukla etc locals of West Bengal and the give them the platform to compete and grow to their full potential at higher forms of the game.

Four teams from four different Cities will play the games during the summer holidays of the school Calendar year. The matches that involves men is to be played on the same day as those of the female counterpart. As it is with most cricket tournaments, there will be the league stage where the 10 teams will play a total of 28 matches. The top four teams will participate in-semi-finals. The winners of the current four semi final matches will be qualified to play in the final. The last screening of final match will be on 28th June 2024 at the renowned stadium known as Eden Gardens located in Kolkata.
This year’s tournament will use two venues: Men’s fixtures will be played at the Eden Gardens, while all of the women’s matches will be held at Jadavpur University Campus Ground, Kolkata. The venue for the final match is fixed at Eden Garden.
