One of the oldest first-class competitions in the cricketing world will host another edition. This is the Sheffield Shield 2024-25 in Australia, which will be the 122nd edition of this prestigious first-class competition. This tournament was first played back in 1892, and from then on, it has given countless superstars to the Australian cricket team, who went on to become the greatest of all time.
The upcoming edition will begin on October 8, and six teams: New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia, will be taking part in it.
