The IPL – biggest cricketing carnival in India, has so captured the imagination of fans around the world that the tournament is halfway through the 18th edition.
While celebrating the cricket, at Pahalgam Kashmir a horrific terrorist attack happened on April 22.
28 civilians were killed altogether making it the latest pain India-Pakistan’s open hostility. The two nations have been unsettled for a long time and their last bilateral series was played in 2012. Bilateral series demanded from both sides in recent years, but the incident recently has positioned those ambitions back to square one.

Rajeev Shukla, the Vice President of BCCI has also weighed in on the incident and cricket related issues between India & Pakistan. As the veteran said, they will condemn the attack and act as the government instructs to. He went on to say that they haven’t played bilateral series with Pakistan since a long time and will never in future.
There is something to be said about the fact they will indeed play Pakistan with ICC tournaments…and they will do whatever is required in their engagements with the world body.
We are with the victims and we denounce it. Whatever our Government speaks Will sound. We do not want to play bilateral series with Pakistan, on the basis of the government’s stance. And from now on do not play against Pakistan in bilaterals. We play in ICC events, but we get engaged ICC otherwise
The next time India and Pakistan will lock horns is in the Women’s World Cup, and it would be intriguing to first know how the boards react (post-Kashmir) towards playing that tournament.
