Indian captain Rohit Sharma is getting a stand named after him at Wankhede Stadium, as the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) confirmed earlier this year. The naming ceremony is planned during the ongoing IPL 2025 season. Rohit is currently in great form with the bat for the Mumbai Indians as they pick up momentum in the tournament.
The ‘Rohit Sharma Stand’ ceremony is set for Tuesday, May 13, right when the Mumbai Indians are in town to train for their upcoming match against the Delhi Capitals. Last month, the MCA approved the proposal to honor Rohit by naming a stand at the iconic stadium after him.
