Hussey stressed that CSK wasn’t worried to the point of panic even when they’ve been knocked from the IPL play-off race. He thinks that there have been some promising performances from a few young players this season.” The team managed only four points from ten games and remains at the bottom of the points table.
“There are definitely a few areas we need to look at going forward but we don’t want to just panic and change everything because this year hasn’t gone well,” said Hussey before CSK’s next match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Hussey is convinced CSK can challenge any IPL team, though they have been on the losing end of a number of closely contested matches: “I know we’re at the bottom and haven’t won many, but I don’t think we’re that far off. We have match-winning players. We can compete with everyone.”

Hopefully, they can score winning performances and secure their names for the future.”
Put in a few wins and a few players standing up would be great by the end of the season, said Hussey.
